Imago Dei Kids

Our volunteers are from our Imago Community. They have gone through:

• A Background Check

• Interviews

• Reference checks

Our volunteers also understand Jesus’s love. They are ready and equipped to share life with kids that have been around church forever and kids that are experiencing church for the first time.

After checking in and receiving your security stickers, sign your incredible kids into their age-appropriate classroom space (Elementary in Gym, Preschool off of Ankeny, Nursery, and Middle School in Lower Sanctuary).

We believe that worship and awe of our Creator happens in many ways. That’s why In all our classes we have free play, a story from the Bible timeline, a craft or activity, singing, and a snack for our nursery and preschoolers.

We are grateful for our Buddies community here at Imago Dei! Our mission is to cultivate accessibility and belonging for children with diverse support needs so that they and their families can encounter Jesus and participate fully in the life of our church. On Sunday mornings, buddies provide individualized care by welcoming kids into our play-based sensory room, coming alongside them in our Imago Kids and Youth classes, and hanging with high schoolers in the sanctuary service.
